BMCW LINKS UP WITH
GERMAN PARTNER GARTNER COMMUNICATIONS

Brightmen and Coolwords has entered into a strategic partnership with Frankfurt-based Gartner Communications in April 2010. The link-up with this strategic communications consultancy, founded and owned by Ulrich Gartner, offers current and prospective BMCW customers feet on the ground in yet an other major European business hub.

BMCW founder and owner Ewold de Bruijne and his German network partner Uli Gartner share a strikingly similar professional profile. Both gentlemen have about two decades of experience in corporate communications. Both have held senior management positions in big international corporations. And both have a track record of proven success as communication consultants working within reputable PR agencies.

HANS GELAUFF STARTS CONSULTANCY PRACTICE

This man is regularly being referred to as 'Mr Retail', in particular by people who have worked with him and those who still are. Until 31 March 2010, Hans Gelauff was the managing director of retail chain Bruna. As of April he works as an independent management consultant: change manager specialised in retail and franchise.

In the run up to his departure from Bruna and the launch of Hans Gelauff’s own business, BMCW arranged a lengthy broadcast on BNR News Radio. In addition, we got in touch with the popular business magazine Elsevier and succeeded in arranging an interview with Hans. And we made sure that Hans got the opportunity to meet with one of the editors of the Financieele Dagblad, Holland’s leading financial newspaper, who has committed to publishing an extensive profile.

To mark Hans Gelauff’s start as a consultant and to link this important fact with his Internet profile, BMCW issued a press release and we created a profile for Hans on www.b2p.nl which includes a personal news section. His business web site, which is not part of our assignment, was still under construction at this time.
NEW SALES MANAGER AT INFOTHEEK

In March 2010 BMCW produced a press release for Infotheek ICT Services announcing the appointment of Stilano van Embricqs. In order to give the story about this new Sales Manager a bit more meat on the bones and to support the claim that Infotheek is very much about quality, we added a written interview with Stilano to mix. And in view of the immense popularity of Internet movies, we also produced a short introduction video with this man.

BMCW took care of uploading portrait pictures (produced by us) and written information onto various third-party web sites. This resulted in instant coverage on the web sites of ICT trade publications such as Computable and Automatiseringgids.

The most important industry and business media received a personal telephone call and follow-up e-mails from us. Search results on Google illustrate that the prolonged on-line media effect is quite substantial.

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS FOR VEENMAN

Our relationship with managed printservices and document automation specialist Veenman illustrates how a fruitful cooperation between a client and its agency can lead to a very broad spectrum of joint projects.

During the first four months of 2010, BMCW has worked on a new product introduction, an on-line newsletter, various articles for the staff magazine, press releases, advertisements, PowerPoint presentations and translations for the largest independent supplier of document management solutions and office printing equipment in the Netherlands...

The news about the introduction of the new service concept ‘Mijn Veenman Beheer’ (which can be loosely translated as: My Veenman Print Management Tools) was covered by a range of industry publications, including Docufacts, Channelweb, Hardware Info, and Kopieerapparaat-Printer.nl
PR FOR THE ROYAL NL MARINE CORPS AND THE NAVAL RESERVES

On the right you see the front page of the first newsletter for Dutch naval reserve personnel that has been produced in a professional manner. Ewold de Bruijne has written the format and heads up the production process as the desk editor.

This publication (March 2010) is one element of a larger communication programme for a rather special audience. Colleague naval reserve Bas Bosscher, owner of design agency Mooi Creatie, did the art work.

Previous PR activities for the Royal Netherlands Navy included a media outreach programme in support of the Royal Netherlands Marine Corps deployment to Chad as part of an EU peace-keeping mission, a series of video reports about the Marines’ Jungle Wafare Training Corps on the popular web TV channel ‘Geen Stijl TV’, and media outreach as part of large naval exercises in Romania and Albania.
GETTING THE NORDICS PRESS TO COVER I.R.I.S.

I.R.I.S., the European market leader in Enterprise Content Management software and Solutions is expanding its activities in the Northern European countries. A first media event has taken place in Oslo on December 15, 2009. BMCW has written the media engagement plan, identified relevant journalists, initiated contacts, and produced a number of PR documents, including the official press release.

Before this event, a successful start had been made in Norway by this client under a different brand name (by a company that was later acquired by I.R.I.S.). Most local journalists had actually never heard of I.R.I.S. and they had no real interest in changing that before we got in touch with them. BMCW was instrumental in getting the company its first media coverage in the Nordics, including a feature article in the popular trade publication Computerworld.
